This policy explains how Canard Cafe Bar, 1 Greyrock Pl, Stamford, CT 06901 ("Canard", "we"), handles information collected through this website, www.canardcafebar.com. It does not cover our online ordering service, which is operated by Toast (see "Online ordering" below).
Information you send us
We collect only what you type into our request forms:
- Catering requests: name, company, email, phone, preferred pickup date and time, number of guests, what you'd like, and any allergies or dietary needs you choose to share.
- Corporate catering: name, company, email, phone, team size, frequency, budget, preferred dates and notes.
- Contact and private events: name, email, optional phone, event date and guest count, and your message.
- Gift card requests: name, email, optional phone, quantity, value, recipient, needed-by date and message.
- Careers: name, email, optional phone, role, availability, experience and message.
Please don't include payment card details or sensitive health information beyond what we need to handle a food allergy safely.
We do not offer a newsletter or marketing email signup on this website.
How we use it
To read and reply to your request, prepare a quote or order you ask for, plan an event, consider a job application, and keep a record of our correspondence. For catering requests we may also send you an automatic receipt email.
Who it is shared with
- Email delivery: form submissions are sent to our inbox (info@canardcafebar.com) through the email service provided by Lovable, which hosts this website.
- Website hosting: like most websites, our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested in order to deliver the site and keep it secure, and may provide us with aggregate visit statistics.
- Fonts: pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.
- Links to other services: Toast (ordering), Google Maps (directions) and Instagram open on their own sites under their own privacy policies.
We may also disclose information if required by law. Beyond what is described on this page, we do not share form submissions with other companies, and we have not added advertising or tracking tools to this website. Cookies and tracking
This website does not add advertising or social-media tracking pixels, and our own code does not set cookies. Our hosting provider and the third-party services above may use technical cookies or logs under their own policies. If we add optional analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy and provide any required choices first.
Online ordering (Toast)
"Order Now" buttons take you to our ordering page on Toast, a separate company. Orders, payments, accounts and any marketing preferences you set there are handled by Toast under the Toast Privacy Statement. We receive your order details from Toast in order to prepare your order.
Security and retention
Form submissions are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and are delivered by email; this website does not store them in a separate database. Emails are kept in our business inbox for as long as needed to handle your request and keep business records. A specific retention period is pending confirmation by the owner. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your requests
To ask what information we hold about you, or to request a correction or deletion, email info@canardcafebar.com with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to confirm your identity and will respond as required by applicable law, including Connecticut privacy law where it applies.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
